Who sends, how often, what is in it, and how to stop it in one click.

Nothing has been sent yet. The first issue has not shipped. If you signed up, you are on the list and have received nothing — that is expected, not a fault.
What we send
- The weekly stories email. One message, editor-chosen, no more than once a week. Sometimes less, if there is nothing worth your attention.
- Editorial replies, if you submitted a story or a response. These are a conversation, not marketing, and are not affected by unsubscribing.
- One confirmation before the first issue, so you are not surprised by something you forgot signing up for.
What we never do
- Sell, rent or share your address. Not with sponsors, not with anyone.
- Add you to a second list because you did something else.
- Send on behalf of a third party.
- Use tracking pixels to see whether you opened it.
- Email you because you submitted a story — the digest is a separate, explicit opt-in.
The basis for emailing you
Your explicit opt-in. We record the exact consent wording shown to you and the moment you agreed, so we can show you later what you actually agreed to. Ask for that record any time via a data request.
Stopping
Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and we honor the List-Unsubscribe header so your mail client’s own button works too. No login, no “are you sure”, no offer to reduce frequency instead. Or use the unsubscribe page directly.
