Ownership and funding
Who owns this publication, who pays for it, and what that does and does not buy them.

Who owns it
To be confirmed before launch. The operating entity is not yet named here. A publication asking HR practitioners for career-sensitive stories should say plainly who is behind it, and this page stays incomplete until it does. Set SITE_OPERATOR in the site configuration and it appears here, on About and in the imprint.
How it is funded
- No outside investment. No venture capital, no institutional backing.
- No advertising. No ad network, no sponsored placements, no affiliate links.
- No sponsors. None today. If that changes, the sponsorship policy already published governs it.
- No paywall and no paid memberships. Every story is free to read, and reading never requires an account.
- Running costs are met by the operator. They are small: a domain, hosting, and editorial time.
What that means for you
Nobody has bought a say in what gets published, because nobody has paid anything. That is the honest advantage of being small and unfunded — and it is also fragile. If the funding model ever changes, this page changes first, before the first story affected by it.
Conflicts
Editors disclose any commercial relationship with an organization or vendor named in a story, on the same terms we ask of contributors. See disclosure.
What does not exist yet
There is no revenue, no paid staff, and no commercial agreement of any kind. The founding status page sets out exactly where the publication is.
